Description:

eCommerce Planner – E-commerce

Drive what we sell, when we sell it, and how it performs online

Are you someone who turns data into commercial impact at speed? As an eCommerce Planner, you don’t just forecast demand—you actively steer online performance, availability, and growth.

In this role, you sit at the heart of a fast-scaling e-commerce operation, working closely with Buying and E-commerce to ensure the right products are online, visible, and performing at the right moment.

You act as the connector between commercial intent, digital execution, and supply reality.

What you’ll be responsible for

You own the commercial performance and demand plan for your category within e-commerce. Your goal: maximise availability, conversion, and sell-through—without losing control of stock and margin.

On any given day, you will:

  • Translate trading strategy, trends, and historical data into actionable demand plans
  • Monitor and steer core KPIs such as traffic, conversion, availability, and sell-through
  • Identify risks and opportunities early (e.g. stock-outs, overstocks, missed demand) and act immediately
  • Continuously adjust forecasts and stock positioning based on real-time performance
  • Work closely with Buying to ensure the assortment is right for online (not just offline)
  • Partner with the E-commerce team (Merchandising, Performance Marketing) to decide what to push, when, and why
  • Balance commercial opportunities with operational constraints (stock, fulfilment capacity)
  • Ensure strong SKU productivity aligned with conversion, margin, and stock targets
  • Support key trading moments (campaigns, peaks, launches) with the right availability and visibility
  • Make trade-offs daily between availability, margin, exposure, and stock risk

What you bring to the table

You combine analytical depth with commercial instinct and thrive in a fast-moving, scale-up environment.

We’re looking for:

  • A degree in a quantitative, analytical, or business-related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Solid experience in demand planning, trading, or commercial analytics
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce dynamics (conversion, traffic, availability, on-site performance)
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with large datasets
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or other high-volume, fast-paced environments
  • Experience with planning/analytics tools (e.g. SAP, Anaplan) is a plus
  • Fluent in English

Who you are

  • Commercially driven – you understand what drives online sales and act on it
  • Data-savvy – you use data to decide, not just to report
  • Proactive & decisive – you don’t wait, you act and adjust continuously
  • Structured under pressure – you keep overview in a fast-changing environment
  • Strong collaborator – you naturally connect Buying, E-commerce, and Supply Chain

Why this role is exciting

You’ll join a rapidly scaling e-commerce business within Action, where we’re building new capabilities at pace. That means high impact, high ownership, and lots of room to shape how we work.

Your decisions directly influence:

  • what customers see online
  • what they can buy
  • and how well we convert demand into sales

You won’t operate in a traditional planning role—you’ll be at the centre of commercial decision-making, translating strategy into daily actions that drive growth.

  • 15% staff discount on your purchases at Action
