eCommerce CRM Specialist
eCommerce CRM Specialist
(Fulltime, 38 hours per week)
As an eCommerce CRM Specialist, you’ll play a key role in driving online revenue and customer engagement through personalized communication. Action’s eCommerce proposition is evolving rapidly. Currently live in the Netherlands and Belgium, and recently integrated into the Action app, what started as a standalone setup is now starting to get integrated into the end-to-end Action experience. Your mission? Build and optimize CRM flows that make every interaction count, from cart abandonment emails to back-in-stock alerts, while collaborating with colleagues across UX, BI, Marketing, and Tech.
This is your daily action
As an eCommerce CRM Specialist, you will report to the CRM Lead and work closely with colleagues from UX, BI, Digital Marketing, Technology, and eCommerce. Your main responsibility is to design, optimize, and scale CRM journeys that support both online performance and the overall Action customer experience.
Your daily responsibilities
- Analyse customer data and identify the biggest opportunities that would move the needle for Action’s growth trajectory.
- Strategise, design and optimize CRM journeys for eCommerce (e.g. cart abandonment, lead generation, back-in-stock, transactional emails)
- Look beyond the functional scope, consider the end-to-end customer experience, and identify solutions that accelerate our database-led business growth, and work with teams to execute them
- Collaborate with UX, BI, Digital Marketing, and Tech teams to ensure the strategy, initiatives and campaigns are data-driven and customer-centric
- Run A/B tests and analyze performance to continuously improve conversion and engagement
- Develop segmentation strategies for personalized communication across channels
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations
- Proactively identify gaps in CRM processes and take ownership to fix them
- Work in Agile squads to deliver fast, iterative improvements.

What we offer
Surprisingly much! From our international headquarters in the Netherlands you have an impact on what happens in our stores across Europe. We welcome more than 22.5 million customers every week in more than 3,400 stores in 15 European countries. We have great growth ambitions. For Action and for you. Because our growth means that you can always take new steps. A different position, an interesting innovation project, new skills: you can continue to develop as a professional. And all this in a culture where our shared values are truly lived: customer focus, teamwork, simplicity, discipline, cost conscious and respect.
Did you know that you can also count on us for:
- A market-based salary based on a 38-hour work week
- 24 days of holiday and the option to buy 5 extra days (based on 38 hours per week)
- Flexible working hours and the possibility of working up to 40% from home, of course in coordination with your team and manager
- 15% staff discount on your purchases at Action
- A good pension scheme and a travel expenses allowance (Zwaagdijk-Oost is traffic jam-free and only 30 minutes by car from Amsterdam)
How we contribute to society
If you only know Action from the stores, a world will open up for you when you come and work with us. We work hard to make a positive impact on society and the environment. Did you know, for example, that we support thousands of children worldwide who grow up in an SOS Children's Village? That our team reflects the diversity of our customers, including over 160 different nationalities? That 99% of our cocoa, cotton, coffee and timber are certified sustainable? And that all our stores, DC’s and offices only use energy-efficient LED lighting? Yes, that is also Action. Curious about what other initiatives we’re facilitating? There’s a lot more we are proud of and we would love for you to be part of it.
