Technology Project Manager – Lifecycle Management (LCM)

(Fulltime/parttime, 32-38 hours per week)

About Action

Action is one of Europe's fastest-growing retailers, with more than 3,500 stores across 16 countries and ambitious growth plans for the years ahead. Keeping our stores, supply chain operations and technology landscape up to date is essential to support that growth.

In this role, you will help drive a broad portfolio of Lifecycle Management (LCM) and operational improvement projects. These projects are typically smaller in scope and complexity than our strategic transformation initiatives, but they are equally important to keep our business running efficiently, securely and reliably.

You will work across Store Operations, Supply Chain and Technology domains, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and with minimal disruption to the business.

Your Role

As Technology Project Manager - LCM, you are responsible for delivering operational and lifecycle-related projects from initiation through implementation.

You create structure, drive progress and ensure actions are completed. You take ownership of delivery and do not stop when the project plan is created. You stay engaged until the agreed result has been fully achieved and successfully implemented.

Many of your projects will focus on software upgrades, technology refreshes, compliance-related changes, lifecycle replacements, operational improvements and smaller business-driven initiatives.

You work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and external partners to ensure projects are executed effectively and deliver the intended outcome.

While the complexity of your projects may be lower than those of senior project managers, you demonstrate the same mindset: taking responsibility, creating momentum and ensuring commitments are translated into results.

What You Will Do

  • Drive end-to-end delivery of LCM and operational projects.
  • Coordinate activities across business and Technology teams.
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines and status reporting.
  • Ensure project scope, milestones and deliverables are clearly defined.
  • Monitor risks, dependencies and issues and proactively address them.
  • Follow up on actions and commitments to ensure timely completion.
  • Support business stakeholders during project execution and implementation.
  • Coordinate testing, readiness activities and deployment planning.
  • Escalate risks or delays when required.
  • Ensure project documentation and governance requirements are maintained.
  • Manage external suppliers and implementation partners where applicable.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices within the PM team.

What You Bring

You are someone who enjoys getting things done. You are organised, reliable and persistent. You naturally take ownership and feel responsible for the successful completion of your projects.
You combine strong coordination skills with a proactive mindset. You do not wait for others to solve problems or move actions forward. Instead, you actively drive progress and ensure results are delivered.

You also have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent level of working and thinking.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in project management, PMO, implementation management, change management or a similar role.
  • Experience working in business and/or technology-related projects.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum and/or Prince2.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written. Dutch is a plus.
  • Retail, Supply Chain or Technology experience is considered an advantage.

What Makes You Successful

You are dependable and action-oriented.

You create clarity, follow through on commitments and maintain focus on delivery. You understand that a project is not finished when activities are planned, but when the agreed outcome has been successfully implemented and adopted.

You are comfortable coordinating multiple stakeholders, keeping actions on track and ensuring deadlines are met. You bring positive energy, take responsibility and actively contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
