The commerce team is an important part of our organization which consists of our buying teams, the commercial planning team, the quality team, the sourcing team, the price management team, the promotion management team, the commercial operations team and the master data management team. As part of the development of our organization, there is an increasing demand in functionality that is either realized in existing applications or in new applications. To manage the technology landscape supporting our commerce organization, we are looking for a Technology Manager Commerce.
Your daily tasks
As Technology Manager Commerce, you will be responsible for delivering technology solutions to our commerce organization. You will manage a team of solution architects and application analysts, ensuring that high-quality resourcing for projects is available. This responsibility will be carried out in alignment with the business technology roadmap for the commerce organization. You will report to the Head of Business Technology for Commerce, Supply Chain and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of technology solutions to support the commerce team.
- Collaborate with the portfolio manager to ensure appropriate resourcing for projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of solution architects and application analysts.
- Ensure the successful implementation of the business technology roadmap.
- Manage the technology landscape, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Work closely with various commerce sub-teams to understand their technology needs and deliver effective solutions.
Your team
Our Technology department adds value with dedicated horizontal / functional teams for Business domains, a Development & Operations team to manage shared Technology services. Furthermore, supportive teams for Projects & Portfolio management. Over 700 people work daily in and for Technology. One of the key departments within Action Technology for achieving Action's ambitious growth targets is Commerce, Supply Chain & Finance. The team consists of engaged, cost-conscious and customer-focused people with diverse cultural backgrounds.

You also have the following:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in technology management, preferably within a commerce or retail environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with project management and delivery of technology solutions.
- Understanding of commercial processes and operations.
