Teamlead Bedrijfsrestaurant
Teamlead Bedrijfsrestaurant
Your daily Action
Every day, more than 2,200 colleagues at our international head office in Zwaagdijk-Oost eat in our staff restaurant. You are the person who keeps that running. As Team Leader Staff Restaurant, you manage the daily operation, from purchasing to plate. You keep quality high and costs sharp, shift after shift.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead the restaurant team on a day-to-day basis
- Manage four assistant-team leads, who in turn guide the restaurant staff
- Improve the processes in the kitchen and on the floor
- Build the work schedules and keep staffing levels on track
- Handle purchasing and balance cost efficiency with quality
- Motivate your team and keep the atmosphere good in a workplace of many cultures
- Make sure 2,200 colleagues get a tasty hot or cold meal every day
This is you
You are a strong communicator who moves as easily between a supplier and a colleague on the floor. Working with different cultures comes naturally to you, and you quickly notice when someone needs more attention. Service is in your nature: you want the best meal on the table every day, and you keep a close eye on costs while you do it.
What you bring:
- Experience leading an operational team in hospitality or catering
- A feel for cost-conscious purchasing, menu renewal and the service experience
- A service-minded attitude that drives you to deliver the best meal every day
- Strong communication skills and ease in working with different cultures
- Flexibility in your working week, including the occasional Saturday
- A good command of English
Meet your team
You lead four team leads who together guide the restaurant staff. In the staff restaurant, different cultures work side by side, mainly Dutch and Polish colleagues. Every day, they make sure the people at our head office and in the distribution centres eat well. You report to the International Office Facilities Lead.

An independent role in which you own the entire restaurant operation • Room to put your own stamp on menu renewal, purchasing and service levels • Four team leads whom you develop further in their roles • A place at our international head office, where you work with every discipline
And did you know we also offer the following?
- 24 holidays, with the option to buy 5 extra days (based on 38 hours)
- 15% staff discount in Action stores
- A shuttle bus between Hoorn station and IHQ
- A mobility allowance and a solid pension scheme (Zwaagdijk-Oost is easy to reach, just 30 minutes from Amsterdam, without the traffic jams!)
Our contribution to society
