Description:

Copywriter Team Lead

Fulltime 38 hours per week

Are you passionate about optimizing creative workflows and helping teams grow? Do you see opportunities to improve how we work and what we write?

Then this is your place within Action!

This is your daily action

As Team Lead Copy, you will be responsible for the operational leadership and development of our international copywriting team. Your focus will be on streamlining processes, implementing automation, and driving continuous improvement instead of writing copy yourself.

You’ll work closely with our team of international copywriters, each responsible for their own language, and help them work more efficiently and effectively. You’ll ensure that the team has the right tools, workflows, and support to deliver high-quality content across all channels.

Your role is key in enabling the team to scale, innovate, and grow in a fast-paced, international retail environment. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across Digital Marketing, SEO, Online Merchandising, and IT to ensure that our content systems and processes support high-quality, customer-focused communication across all channels—from website and app to email and offline media.

Meet your team

Our in-house studio is the creative heart of our organization, where strategy meets storytelling. We develop and produce high-quality campaigns and content tailored to bring the brand to life across every channel, both external customer facing and internal communications. With a team of passionate creatives, sharp copywriters, skilled content creators and specialists, and a full-service photo studio, we turn ideas into impactful visuals and words for digital and non-digital assets.

This is you

  • A drive for process optimization and team development
  • You bring experience in content operations, project management, or a similar role
  • You are tech-savvy and familiar with content management systems, automation tools, and digital workflows
  • You have strong communication and leadership skills
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English
  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field

What we offer

Surprisingly much! From our international headquarters in the Netherlands you have an impact on what happens in our stores across Europe. We welcome more than 15 million customers every week in more than 3,000 stores in 13 European countries. We have great growth ambitions. For Action and for you. Because our growth means that you can always take new steps. A different position, an interesting innovation project, new skills: you can continue to develop as a professional. And all this in a culture where our shared values are truly lived: customer focus, teamwork, simplicity, discipline, cost conscious and respect.

Did you know that you can also count on us for:

  • A market-based salary based on a 38-hour work week
  • 24 days of holiday and the option to buy 5 extra days (based on 38 hours per week)
  • A fixed contract with the intention of offering you a permanent contract in the long term
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility of working up to 40% from home, of course in coordination with your team and manager
  • 15% staff discount on your purchases at Action
  • A good pension scheme, collective health insurance and travel expenses allowance (Zwaagdijk-Oost is traffic jam-free and only 30 minutes by car from Amsterdam)

How we contribute to society

If you only know Action from the stores, a world will open up for you when you come and work with us. We work hard to make a positive impact on society and the environment. Did you know, for example, that we sponsor more than 2,500 children worldwide who grow up in an SOS Children's Village? That our team reflects the diversity of our customers, including 155 different nationalities? That we purchase 94% of our wood products and 100% of our cotton sustainably? And that almost all our stores only use energy-efficient LED lighting? Yes, that is also Action. Curious about what other initiatives we’re facilitating? Join our team and find out for yourself.
