Supplier Desk & Onboarding Coordinator

Action is an expanding Company and one of the core units that enables our growth across our geographies is the Sourcing & Supplier Management department with its dedicated Supplier Desk team. This team is essential to building strong partnerships with our suppliers worldwide. You will be joining as a Supplier Desk & Onboarding Coordinator, part of the International HQ of Action, reporting to the Team Lead Supplier Desk. Take a look!

 

This is your daily action


Overall this position focuses on seamlessly onboarding new suppliers and providing optimal service to all of Action's commercial suppliers across our network. You are the bridge between our internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring smooth communication and efficient processes that support our ambitious expansion goals.

 

In particular, You:

 

  • Leading the process of Supplier Onboarding: Guide new suppliers through the entire onboarding journey, from initial contact to full integration into our systems and processes, acting as their primary point of contact
  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Align with Commerce, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain teams to ensure all aspects of the onboarding process run smoothly and on time
  • Manage Documentation: Coordinate input from various departments for commercial and cross-functional supplier documents, ensuring consistency, clarity, and accessibility
  • Monitor Data Quality: Follow up with suppliers on article or logistical data issues, determine which vendor data needs to be stored, and guard the quality of our data sets
  • Handle Communications: Maintain the Commercial/Supply Chain communication calendar, send messages to our supplier base, and act as first point of contact for supplier questions
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and delays in processes, propose optimizations, and develop training materials for suppliers regarding Action's standards and expectations

Contributing to Action's strategic expansion by managing relationships with suppliers who help us open over 300 new stores a year - that's what you and your international colleagues do in the Sourcing & Supplier Management department. At Supplier Desk you work at the heart of our supply chain, building partnerships that enable our cost-conscious approach while maintaining quality standards.

 

Your internal stakeholders would be Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Communication, and Store Operations teams. Your external stakeholders are our diverse supplier base across multiple countries. You are naturally a communicative and accurate person, who has customer focus and process efficiency as core professional drivers. Building relationships and solving problems proactively comes naturally to you. You are a result-oriented team member who can execute with pace and urgency while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

 

In addition, you have:

 

  • HBO (Bachelor) degree level education combined with 1-3 years of experience working in a Commercial and/or Supply Chain admin role, OR MBO education level with more than 6 years of work experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in Dutch and English both written and spoken
  • Customer-focused approach with excellent communication and coordination abilities
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions
  • Experience in supplier management or commercial administration environments
