Solutions Architect - Finance

We are seeking an experienced and business-aligned Solution Architect – Finance to join our international Tech team. You’ll be located at our IHQ in Zwaagdijk – Oost (Near Amsterdam). 

This is your daily action

As Solution Architect Finance, you will act as the bridge between Finance and Technology. You understand financial processes, speak the language of the business, and translate complex business challenges into scalable and sustainable SAP-based solutions.

• Design and maintain end-to-end solution architectures supporting Finance processes across the SAP landscape.
• Translate Finance business requirements and process challenges into practical, scalable technology solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Finance, Compliance, and Technology stakeholders on solution design and architectural decisions.
• Drive alignment between Finance process owners, SAP specialists, integration teams, and external implementation partners.
• Provide architectural leadership for Finance-related SAP initiatives and transformation programs.
• Assess the business impact of technology decisions and ensure solutions support standardized and scalable Finance operations.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with enterprise standards, financial controls, and European regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to Finance transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA adoption and continuous process improvement.
• Develop and maintain solution blueprints, architecture roadmaps, and governance documentation.

This is you

• You are not just a technology architect. You understand how Finance operates and can confidently engage with both Finance leaders and SAP specialists.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Information Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Finance-related technology environments, including at least 3 years in a Solution Architect role.
• Strong understanding of core Finance processes such as Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Financial Closing, Tax, Treasury, and Compliance.
• Solid experience with SAP Finance solutions and related SAP modules.
• Proven ability to translate business process requirements into effective solution designs.
• Experience working in complex, international and highly dynamic organizations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences.

Preferred

• Experience within an international retail environment.
• Experience supporting Finance transformation or SAP S/4HANA programs.
• Strong understanding of SAP Finance architecture and operating models.
• TOGAF certification.
• SAP certification in a Finance-related or architecture-related discipline.
