Senior Procurement Manager Marketing
Senior Procurement Manager – Marketing
32-38 uur
Introduction
Do you want to shape how a fast-growing international retailer reaches millions of customers? At Action, Marketing moves fast and Procurement makes it stronger. As Senior Procurement Manager – Marketing, you take ownership of one of our most visible spend areas: media, agencies and marketing technology. You turn strategy into deals that work for our customers, our brand and our business. And you do this from our headquarters: a dynamic, international environment with plenty of room for your personal development.
This is your daily action
You lead the end-to-end procurement strategy for the Marketing category across all Action markets. You are the right hand of the Indirect Procurement Lead and the commercial sparring partner for Group Marketing leadership (up to CMO level) as well as country marketing teams.
You translate goals into sourcing strategies, run tenders, and negotiate contracts that deliver measurable value.
Your scope includes offline and digital media, creative and production partners, print and in-store communication, MarTech and CRM platforms, research and brand tracking, sponsorships and events. You continuously review the supplier landscape, challenge the status quo when it makes commercial sense, and build partnerships that grow with Action.
- Develop and execute a multi-year category strategy, including KPIs for savings and value (e.g., improved rates/terms, efficiency)
- Lead strategic RfX processes end-to-end: from briefing to award, contracting and implementation
- Negotiate complex agreements (rate cards, performance clauses, SLAs, data & tooling) with media and agency ecosystems
- Define supplier performance KPIs and steer on results (quality, delivery, innovation, compliance)
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Group Marketing, Brand, Digital, CRM, MarTech, Legal and Finance, and align multiple countries
- Use spend analytics and market insights to advise Marketing on the best commercial choices
- Improve processes and ensure compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements
Meet your team
You will join the Procurement team and work with colleagues supporting, among others, Marketing, HR and Professional Services. You collaborate with driven procurement professionals who are ambitious to take Procurement to the next level.
This is you
You bring strong category expertise, especially in media, and you enjoy leading negotiations that truly make a difference. You are commercially minded, structured, and comfortable in engaging with senior stakeholders. You also like to take initiative and actively contribute to the growth of the team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Up to 10 years of relevant experience (depending on scope)
- Proven experience in media procurement and/or agency sourcing and performance management
- Strong analytical skills: you translate data into a clear recommendation
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent English; Dutch is a plus

Our short-term climate targets are fully aligned with the Climate Agreement and approved by the SBTi. Across our organization we work towards a greener future: our stores, distribution centers and offices use energy-efficient LED lighting, and our stores are already gas-free. That’s also Action.
