Security Manager Supply Chain & Offices

([Fulltime -38] hours per week)

Action is a fast-growing non-food discounter with more than 3,500 stores in 16 countries. As Security Manager Supply Chain & Offices, you make sure our distribution centers (DCs), transport and offices are secure in a consistent, risk-based and practical way, in every country we operate in. This role is for someone who knows security inside out, turns risks into actions that operations can actually work with, and brings people along.

Your Role

As Security Manager Supply Chain & Offices, you strengthen security across Action's supply chain and offices. You are part of Fraud & Security, reporting to the Head of Fraud & Security, and you work closely with Supply Chain (IHQ and DCs) and office management. You give our DCs, transport and offices across all countries a clear and practical security set-up, and the support they need to keep it working. Health and safety is outside the scope of this role.

You maintain and implement our security framework, based on TAPA standards, and turn it into clear guidance for local operations. You identify the key risks, coordinate the right controls and work out fraud and security processes in line with the required TAPA level. When a significant incident happens, you coordinate the response and make sure the lessons learned lead to real improvements.

You are the bridge between Fraud & Security and the operation. Working through the Supply Chain Central Logistics department, you embed security standards in the way our locations work every day. You also set priorities for a team of Security Experts and support their development, so the team's work stays in line with the security roadmap and business priorities.

This is your daily action

  • Maintain, explain and implement a practical security framework (TAPA), roadmap, policies and minimum standards for Supply Chain and offices.
  • Translate security requirements into clear guidance for local operations, and support consistent implementation across countries and locations.
  • Work out fraud and security actions and processes in line with the required TAPA level.
  • Coordinate security risk assessments and help stakeholders define proportionate mitigating actions.
  • Monitor key security risks, incidents, trends and improvement actions.
  • Prepare concise risk and progress updates for management, and escalate material risks to the appropriate management level.
  • Coordinate the response to significant security and fraud incidents within scope, and support fact-finding, follow-up and lessons learned with specialists and local management.
  • Build effective relationships with Supply Chain, office teams, Risk Assurance, HR, Legal and external security partners.
  • Advise on security for projects, new locations and operational changes, in plain and accessible language.
  • Promote security awareness through practical communication and guidance.
  • Translate the security roadmap into clear priorities for the Security Experts, allocate work, coordinate resources, monitor delivery, address operational issues, and support their day-to-day development.

What You Bring

You are an experienced security professional who understands how a supply chain works on the ground. You know how to assess risks and set up controls, but above all you know how to make security practical for the people who have to work with it. You lead and influence with confidence, and you are comfortable working across countries and cultures.

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Relevant experience in corporate, supply chain, logistics or physical security.
  • Experience with security risk assessments, incident management and implementing security controls.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as TAPA.
  • The ability to translate security risks into practical actions for operational teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, you are seen as a trusted advisor by operations and management alike.
  • Leadership skills, with experience in setting priorities for and developing specialists.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to Supply Chain and office locations when required.

What Makes You Successful

You are pragmatic and risk-based: you know what really matters and you keep it proportionate. You give clear advice without creating unnecessary bureaucracy, and you build trust with operational teams so security becomes part of the way they work. You stay calm when incidents happen, act decisively, and make sure the follow-up gets done. You thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment like Action.

What We Offer

At Action, you can make a tangible impact in one of Europe's fastest-growing retailers. You will shape and embed security across our entire supply chain and office network, with visibility in every country we operate in. You will work within Fraud & Security, with your own team of Security Experts, and in close cooperation with Supply Chain, Central Logistics, office management and external security partners.

  • A competitive salary based on a 38-hour working week.
  • A yearly bonus based on company and personal objectives.
  • 24 holidays, with the option to buy five additional days, based on 38 hours per week.
  • 3 days per week on site, with the option to work from home for the remaining hours, in coordination with your team and manager. Travel to Supply Chain and office locations is part of the role.
  • 15% staff discount on purchases at Action.
  • A good pension scheme, collective health insurance, and travel allowance. ([Location – to be confirmed, e.g. Zwaagdijk-Oost, reachable from Amsterdam by car in about 30 minutes on uncongested roads])
