QA Lead
With over 3000 stores and millions of customers in Europe, Technology plays a key role in Action’s success with the surprising assortment and strong brand proposition. The Marketing & Format Department is dedicated to improve brand representation, driving store visits, roll-out the Action (store) formula, increasing sales, and attracting talent. The department also executes promotion management to create offers that drive store traffic and sales and delivers content for the websites (including the web shop), apps and other channels through Action Studio.
Your daily tasks
As a QA lead you are responsible for ensuring the quality (assurance process) and reliability of (digital) solutions that support the purpose of the Marketing & Format department. You’ll bring the quality assurance strategy to live, ensure test process efficiency and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. You’ll set and uphold high standards across the various platforms and channels.
Quality Strategy & Governance
Define and implement QA frameworks, standards, and best practices suitable within the Action context.
Establish and maintain quality metrics and report on a regular rhythm on status & progress.
Test Management
Coordinate test efforts & test practices across teams and across departments when necessary.
Drive test automation initiatives and ensure properly maintained test environments & test data are available and being used by the teams and stakeholders.
Ensure test coverage across Agile and hybrid (Bi-modal) delivery models.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with developers, product owners, UX designers, and business stakeholders to ensure Action is able to develop with quality and speed.
Provide guidance and mentorship to QA engineers and external testing partners across the different teams.
Act as the escalation point for quality-related issues.
Continuous Improvement
Promote a shift-left testing mindset and embed quality early in the development lifecycle.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and enhance user experience and stakeholder satisfaction.
Your team
Our Technology department adds value with dedicated horizontal / functional teams for Business domains, a Development & Operations team to manage shared Technology services. Furthermore, supportive teams for Projects & Portfolio management. Over 700 people work daily in and for Technology. Business Technology supports the Marketing & Format department by organizing, enabling and delivering the technology (organization) needed for the business to thrive. The team consists of engaged, cost-conscious and customer-focused people with diverse cultural backgrounds.

You also have the following:
- Bachelor degree or higher, preferably in digital technology or computer science related field.
- Proven experience in a QA leadership role for 3+ years, preferably in a digital or retail environment.
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
- Knowledge of the different test processes and test frameworks is required.
- Experience in full-stack testing and cross departmental QA processes and techniques.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in complicated, bigger organizations with strict quality requirements is a plus.
