38h fulltime
Are you looking for an expert role at the intersection of Quality, Sustainability and Compliance? Do you have an affinity with process mapping and translating changing regulations into workable frameworks? And do you want a role with real ownership and room to grow? If so, this is your chance to become a next level Process Expert Quality now and put your talent to work from our headquarters in Noord-Holland!
Your daily action
Working at Action isn't like working at any other company. With more than 3000 stores across 15 European countries, Quality, Sustainability and Regulatory Compliance touch every corner of the business - from Supply Chain and Stores to our Commercial teams and external supplier network.
As Process Expert Quality, you will define, document and continuously improve the processes that keep Action compliant today and future-proof for tomorrow. When a new regulation arrives - such as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) - you will be the person who maps the impact across domains, works with Commerce, Supply Chain, Stores and IT to find the right balance between compliance and commercial viability, and builds the process and documentation to embed it in the company.
Concretely, your work will include:
- Defining and documenting quality and compliance processes using BPMN 2.0 tools such as Signavio
- Creating clear process guidelines and testing protocols
- Supporting data gathering from suppliers and third-party partners for compliance regulation - coordinating with stakeholders in Asia and across the EU
- Gathering, structuring and analysing compliance-related data to support decision-making, working with internal systems and supplier data to identify gaps and track progress
- Assessing the impact of changing regulations on the wider business and translating them into actionable process improvements
- Working cross-functionally with Commerce, Supply Chain and Stores to embed compliance in a way that is both workable and commercially viable
- Keeping documentation up to date so it serves both current operations and future regulatory shifts
Meet your team
You will join a small, dedicated team of three people, embedded within a broader Commercial Process department of around fifteen colleagues. Your direct teammates bring expertise in the Quality domain and process improvement, and you will connect daily with stakeholders in Supply Chain, Stores and Commerce. Because Action has stores throughout Europe, this is an English-language team by default - you will be reaching out to people across the business and beyond, so proactivity and strong communication are key.
This is you
You thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. You are curious by nature, diligent in execution and flexible enough to shift priorities when regulations change - as they often do. You are comfortable reaching out to people at all levels and in different countries, and you know how to turn complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical processes.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Two to five years of work experience; a background in quality, compliance, sustainability or process improvement is preferred
- Demonstrable experience in process mapping - knowledge of BPMN 2.0 (e.g. Signavio) and Lean methodologies is a strong plus
- Affinity with quality, sustainability and compliance regulation (must-have)
- Data-driven mindset: you are comfortable working with data, drawing insights from it, and using it to substantiate process decisions; experience with data tools or reporting is a plus
- Affinity with systems - you understand how business systems support processes and are motivated to learn how data flows through them
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proactive and self-starting, you're comfortable reaching out and taking action to move things forward
