Your daily actions


In this role, you lead and develop the project management team. 

 

You understand the dynamics of multi-project environments and proactively identify risks, align stakeholders, and maintain momentum across complex initiatives. As a key strategic sparring partner to senior management, you lead ensure the best possible resource allocation to the prioritized projects. The main goal is to develop a first class change team specialized in lasting change

 

You will:

 

  • Lead and develop the project management team
  • Makes employees enthusiastic, inspire and connect them
  • Allocate projects to project managers
  • Ensure proper staffing and competency of project managers
  • Provide coaching and support to project managers
  • Define and enforce project management standards and best practices. Align project execution practices with organizational goals
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the Action project management community
  • Monitor project delivery performance and intervene when needed
  • Collaborate with HR/training to support project manager development paths
  • Act as escalation point for project issues. Promote a culture of continuous improvement in project execution

 

Your team


You lead a dedicated team of 15 - 20 Project Managers the Supply Chain and Commerce organization. Together, you deliver impactful projects that support the business objectives. You report to the Head of Project & Portfolio and work closely with peers and senior stakeholders across departments to ensure strategic alignment and value delivery.

You’re an experienced leader who combines strategic thinking with strong execution power. With excellent communication skills, you bring structure, clarity, and inspiration to your team and stakeholders. You thrive in dynamic environments, keep a cool head under pressure, and foster collaboration across all levels of the organisation.

 

You also bring:

 

  • Strong leadership and people management skills: you empower your team, provide direction, and create ownership.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in project- and change management, preferably in Supply Chain, Commerce or retail in a large, fast-paced organization
  • Ability to assess interdependencies, drive decision-making, and translate complex strategies into actionable steps.
  • A pragmatic mindset and the ability to navigate both strategic and operational discussions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across various departments
  • Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
