We are looking for a Manager IT Marketing & Format.  With over 3500 stores and millions of customers in Europe, Technology plays a key role in Action’s success with the surprising assortment and strong brand proposition.   

 

Marketing and Format

 

At Action, you will work in an environment focused on growth and one that's full of energy, drive and ambition. The Marketing & Format Department is dedicated to improve brand representation, driving store visits, roll-out the Action (store) formula, increasing sales, and attracting talent.

 

This is achieved through crafting impactful media strategies, campaigns, and content across paid, owned, and earned channels. The department also executes promotion management to create offers that drive store traffic and sales and delivers content for the websites (including webshop), apps and other channels through Action Studio.

 

The Store Format team ensures a consistent and recognizable brand experience across all locations and focuses on optimizing store layouts to meet customer needs, improve traffic flow, making sure that each store complies with the Action formula.

 

Your daily tasks

 

Together with the Head of Business Technology you will develop and refine a Tech delivery vision and ensure its gradual implementation whilst at the same time making sure the department runs smoothly. You will continue to optimise tasks in an agile environment and solve problems where required with the product owners and stakeholders. We consider the following to be core tasks:

 

  • Delivery of the technology portfolio and roadmap.
  • Managing the operations and lifecycle of the Marketing & Format Technology stack
  • Supplier Management (including handling of invoicing)
  • Ensuring alignment with the overall Technology strategy and domain architecture.
  • Recruitment & HRM of internal and external (Digital) Technology Professionals
  • Financial monitoring & forecasting of project & (platform) run costs

 

Your team

 

As Manager IT M&F you are part of the Biztech M&F Management Team together with the Tech Lead and the Domain Architect and you will report directly to the Head of Biztech. You will manage (external) product owners and the (internal) Agile Lead as well as drive results with our partners which source our multidisciplinary development teams. 

 

This is you

 

As an IT manager You are analytically strong and you have modern senior Tech Leadership skills.  You have a positive mind set and demonstrates a high level of simplicity & pragmatism.  

 

Furthermore:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Proven experience in Digital Technology management, preferably within the retail domain.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, application development, and maintenance requirements.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with business and IT teams
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Being able to be comfortable with both a traditional IT environment and processes as well as an Agile (Digital) environment and processes.
  • Proven track record of managing external partners & suppliers.
