Junior Supply Planner - Ecommerce
Junior Supply Planner – Ecommerce
32-38 hours per week
Are you a recent graduate eager to start your career in supply chain and ecommerce? Do you want to be part of Action's growing online operations? And are you looking for a role where you can truly make an impact while developing new systems and processes?
Then read on, because we're looking for you!
These are your daily actions
As a Junior Supply Planner, you'll be part of the Ecommerce Supply Planning team within our Supply Chain department.
Together with the team, you'll be responsible for ensuring optimal product availability for our online channels in the Netherlands and Belgium. It concerns all kind of articles – from seasonal to more regular – delivered to our ecommerce fulfillment center in the NL.
On a daily basis, you'll work on managing inventory levels and placing orders. You'll monitor planned deliveries from suppliers for timeliness and completeness, act as the first point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders, and handle calls with suppliers one moment while presenting product availability to the commercial team the next.
You'll work extensively with Excel, as systems and processes are still being developed - giving you the opportunity to influence how things are built!
Action is growing rapidly, and that has consequences for its processes. The ecommerce channel is especially dynamic and evolving, creating ample opportunity for improvement.
Will you help us build the most efficient planning processes for our online operations?
Or perhaps you'll help us anticipate important sales moments by acting quickly when demand patterns change?
Our goal is to ensure our customers can always find what they're looking for online. Will you help us meet this challenge and strive for optimal availability together?
Working in Ecommerce Supply Planning at Action means every day is different. Good ideas? They're always welcome!
This will be your team
The Supply Planning team consists of 8 people who focus on ensuring a constant flow of deliveries from European suppliers and manufacturers to Action's ecommerce operations. Currently we have 1 other planner fully focused on the ecommerce operations.
The team especially manages seasonal products, working closely with commercial colleagues, buyers, and logistics experts.
Do you want to work in the dynamic retail and ecommerce sector, in a young team with plenty of (international) growth opportunities? Take action!

- You have advanced Excel skills
- You have a good command of the English language, both spoken and written

How we contribute to society
As a retailer with millions of enthusiastic customers, we take responsibility for people and the environment seriously. That's why we're eager to invest in solutions that reduce our environmental impact and ensure better production conditions in the countries where we have stores and manufacture. Did you know, for example, that we sponsor more than 2,000 children worldwide who grow up in an SOS Children's Village? That our team reflects the diversity of our customers, with 124 nationalities? That we already source 70% of our wood products and 86% of our cotton sustainably? And that more than half of our stores use only energy-efficient LED lighting? Yes, that's also Action.
