Hong Kong Artwork Coordinator
Artwork Coordinator – HONG KONG BASED
(Full-time – 40 hours per week)
What makes customers pick up products from the shelves and buy them? Apart from the product itself and the price, it’s often the packaging that catches their attention.
As Artwork Coordinator at Action Hong Kong, you play a key role in ensuring that the packaging of hundreds of products each year stands out across our stores in Europe. You coordinate the artwork development process for our private label and directly sourced products, ensuring packaging is clear, compliant and commercially impactful.
Working closely with teams across Europe and Asia, you act as the linking pin between our Far-East sourcing partners and our Private Label & Packaging team in the Netherlands, helping suppliers and partners deliver high-quality artwork inputs and packaging solutions that strengthen our brand and support our rapid growth.
You will report to the Private Label & Packaging Manager in the Netherlands, ensuring strong alignment between commercial goals and packaging execution.
This is your daily action
In this role, you own and coordinate the end-to-end packaging artwork process for directly sourced and private label products. From validated inputs through to final print-proof approval.
At the same time, you play a leading role in improving supplier capabilities and ensuring artwork projects move efficiently from concept to production.
Your responsibilities include:
Operational:
- Owning the end-to-end artwork development process, aligning Buying, Merchandising, Quality, Compliance and suppliers throughout all stages.
- Reviewing and validating artwork, dielines and print proofs for consistency, brand compliance and regulatory requirements (including mandatory information, safety warnings, recycling pictograms and translations across our European markets) granting final approvals for production samples.
- Coordinating product photography briefs and assets where needed to support packaging clarity and shopper impact.
- Planning and orchestrating timelines, capacity with agencies and partners to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Coordinating internal feedback rounds and aligning stakeholders to ensure artwork meets both commercial and regulatory requirements.
- Tracking progress and reporting KPIs and project status to stakeholders, identifying risks early and driving solutions to keep projects moving.
- Creating and coordinating clear and commercially strong briefings for external design agencies and suppliers, ensuring USPs, legal claims, technical specifications and translations are accurate and ready for execution.
Process Improvement:
- Leading supplier capability and first-time-right performance, setting expectations, coaching vendors and providing structured feedback to improve input quality and reduce rework.
- Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives (SOPs, templates, tooling) to compress cycle time and improve quality at source.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives such as templates, SOPs and tooling to simplify processes and reduce artwork cycle time.
You will manage multiple artwork projects simultaneously and play a key role in ensuring packaging quality across 73 private labels and hundreds of products sold in more than 15 European countries.

You are an experienced professional with a strong background in packaging development, artwork coordination or project management within FMCG, retail or private label environments. You take ownership of complex, multi-stakeholder projects and naturally bring clarity, structure and alignment. You anticipate risks early, remove bottlenecks proactively and ensure projects move forward efficiently.
You have a proven track record of improving processes, that you will spot and mark proactively and elevating supplier input quality, driving higher first-time-right performance. With a solid understanding of packaging technical requirements, such as materials, print processes and mandatory information, you actively participate in making our products and packaging commercially attractive. You are able to make well-informed decisions and guide others effectively.
You are a strong communicator who can influence and align suppliers, internal teams and external agencies. You are confident in training and coaching others, ensuring consistent quality and ways of working across stakeholders. Highly structured and detail-oriented, you thrive in fast-paced environments where you manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining tight deadlines.
In addition:
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in packaging development, artwork coordination or project management within FMCG, retail or private label
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to create clarity, structure and alignment
- Experience in process improvement and enhancing supplier performance
- Solid basic understanding of packaging technical requirements (materials, print processes, mandatory information and legal claims).
- Excellent command of English (both oral and written); command of another European language is an advantage
