HRS Transformation Lead


Are you ready to lead transformation in one of Europe’s fastest-growing retailers? As our HRS Transformation Lead based in Zwaagdijk, you’ll play a key role in modernizing our HR Services to keep up with the scale and pace of our growth. With over 3.000 stores and ambitious expansion plans, Action is seeking a strategic and pragmatic expert to drive digital innovation, improvement, streamline processes, and enhance employee experience. You'll lead our HR digital strategy from concept through implementation, helping to shape a future-proof, data-driven, and employee-centric HR Services function.

 

What will you do?

 

  • Lead the full HRS digital transformation roadmap—from strategy to implementation
  • Oversee implementation of new HR technologies and optimize existing systems
  • Redesign and modernize HR Services processes using Lean and design thinking
  • Lead organizational design and change management initiatives
  • Ensure strong governance, stakeholder engagement, and benefits realization

 

This is what your day could look like


Imagine starting your day by chairing a Steering Committee meeting with our HR, IT, and Executive leaders. You then work closely with your team to finalize a design session sprint for a new platform, followed by a workshop with HR Services to streamline a manual process. In the afternoon, you analyze KPIs from your dashboard and align with the Head of HR Services and IT to ensure we keep on track with our plans. Throughout the day, you're mentoring colleagues and fostering cross-functional collaboration to embed sustainable change.

Who are you?


You are a strategic leader who thrives on transformation and enjoys making a lasting impact. With a strong background in HR operations, digital technology, and change management, you bring clarity to complexity and can inspire teams across functions and borders.

 

  • 10+ years of experience in HR/shared-services transformation with budgets over €20M
  • Expertise in global HR processes and compliance (e.g. GDPR, SOX)
  • Strong knowledge of HR technologies and digital architecture
  • Skilled in Agile/SAFe, PMP, or Prince2 project methodologies
  • Experienced in change management (e.g. PROSCI, Kotter)
  • Degree in Business, HR, IT or related field; MBA preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional, international teams
  • Ability to build business cases and track value realisation
  • Fluent in both strategic and operational aspects of HR transformation
