About the Job
The Financial controller is responsible for internal and external group reporting. The overall role of this position is to support the continued rapid (international) growth of Action in a manner that safeguards the integrity of our reporting and manages the key risk elements of the company’s growth. You will report to the Finance Manager in Portugal with regular contact with local Management team and our Internation Headquarter Finance team in the Netherlands.
Missions and Responsibilities
Weekly activities:
- Report performances to the organization
- Weekly business performances reporting
- Support on Ad-hoc request
- Communicate with global headquarter
Periodical activities:
- Participate in Period Close
- Performs monthly and quarterly analysis reviews to P&L and Balance Sheet
- Manages and coordinate the preparation of time, accurate and periodic financial reporting
- Collaborates and organizes with external auditors and internal stakeholders (internal audit)
- Support preparation of annual statutory accounts
- Reporting to country and global headquarter
Budgeting & forecasting:
- Drive Budget and Forecast (quarterly) process together with Finance Manager
- Sales
- Direct & indirect expenses (Labour, housing, and general costs)
- HQ expenses
- P&L and business reviews
About You
- University Degree in Economics / Business or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of experience (previous experience in retail sector is a plus)
- Fluent in English
- Expert in excel and other pack office competencies
- Proactive, organized and hands-on, able to work autonomously.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
