As a Process Expert Finance CTC, you will be fully dedicated to designing, improving, and safeguarding our processes related to electronic invoicing (e-invoicing) and financial reporting (e-reporting). Would you like to apply your knowledge of financial processes and systems at the largest nonfood retailer in Europe? Then keep reading!
E-invoicing and e-reporting are major developments in Europe related to the digitalization of VAT administration. They originate from the European program VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA), through which the EU aims to reduce VAT fraud and modernize VAT administration. At this moment, several countries in which Action operates are introducing national obligations related to e-invoicing and e-reporting. Ultimately, all EU countries must comply with ViDA by 2030, which requires a structured and professional approach for the 14 EU countries in which Action is currently active. This creates an exciting growth opportunity!
This is your daily action
Your team, Financial Projects & Processes, ensures that Action’s financial function is supported by modern systems and a coherent framework for financial processes. You ensure that our e-invoicing flows and e-reporting obligations run smoothly across the connected systems, remain compliant, and stay aligned with rapidly changing regulations across Europe. You will collaborate closely with other Process Experts within O2C (for e-invoicing), R2R (for e-reporting), and the e-invoicing project team.
In this role, maintaining close contact with involved stakeholders is essential, such as colleagues in operational finance roles, users of financial systems, Business Technology staff, and project/test managers.
Additionally, you will:
- Prepare and maintain high quality process documentation
- Monitor the quality and performance of e-invoice flows (e.g. Peppol or national platforms) and take action when disruptions occur
- Support colleagues and users with questions related to e-invoicing, billing data, and reporting
- Contribute to the implementation of new e-invoicing obligations in European countries and translate legislation into process adjustments
- Provide valued support and advice to users to help them maximize system efficiency
- Work closely with Technology colleagues to submit and follow up on change requests, contribute expertise to projects, and participate in user acceptance tests
