The Internship

You'll land in the heart of our logistics operation. As a young professional, you'll work on ensuring optimal availability of our products across all European distribution centers. Delivery problems? You'll address them with local and international suppliers. Supply planning is also about collaboration: you'll work with commercial planners who determine the assortment, buyers who select suppliers and products, and logistics experts who fully master all systems and processes. As an intern in our department:

• You'll support checking and validating orders in the forecast & replenishment system.
• You'll optimize forecasts and contribute to an optimal inventory position for a portion of the assortment.
• You'll monitor the planned deliveries from your suppliers for timeliness and completeness.
• You'll contribute to periodic meetings with suppliers and colleagues to improve inventory and product availability.
• You'll maintain administration in the master data and close outstanding orders that will no longer be delivered; you'll know exactly what's going on.

The many contacts with other supply planners and suppliers make your work challenging and diverse. And the best part? Together with your colleagues, you'll put a smile on our customers' faces. Your Team

The Action Supply Chain Planning team consists of more than 35 supply planners. You'll work closely with one or more supply planners who will teach you the tricks of the trade. A supply planner focuses on a constant flow of deliveries from all European suppliers and manufacturers to Action distribution centers. Additionally, we work extensively with the purchasing department, commercial planning, transport, and inbound teams at the distribution centers. You won't be the only intern in the department, which is nice when you want to brainstorm with a like-minded peer. Of course, you'll receive guidance that suits you and have the space to get to know Action as a company. "Never a dull moment at Action!"

Thanks to your structured approach, you can handle rapidly changing priorities and time pressure. "Teamwork makes the dream work," which is why you enjoy working with your colleagues.
Furthermore:

• You're pursuing a university degree, HBO (higher professional education), associate degree, or minor in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• You're available full-time (38 hours per week) for at least 20 weeks.
• You're looking for an internship where you can work in the department at least 4 days per week.
• You have an affinity with numbers and data.
• You have good command of the English language.
• You're proficient in Excel.

What We Offer

• Flexible working hours in consultation with the team and direct supervisor, with a mix of office and remote work.
• An internship allowance of €400 per month based on 38 hours per week.
• If you don't have a student travel card, you'll receive a travel allowance.

Together with several other young professionals, you'll start your internship at Action. You'll be introduced to the organization and matched with an internship supervisor. Additionally, after a successful internship period, we offer you the opportunity for a permanent position.
