E-learning specialist
E-Learning Specialist
Fulltime, 38 hours per week
Ready for a dynamic job where you can make impact? As one of our E-Learning Specialists within our Supply Chain organization, you are responsible for developing online learning material, supervising the content of the training and distributing these training courses throughout our European distribution centers. The position is based at our head office in Zwaagdijk (Noord Holland).
This is your daily action
At Action we believe in the development of our employees and we want our employees to grow with the growth of Action. Every year, we open new stores and warehouses in existing and new countries.
We have a dedicated supply chain e-learning department within Action. As an E-learning Specialist, you will help develop our supply chain employees. This starts when new warehouse employees are welcomed during their onboarding period and continues as they learn their (future) role. You will support this by creating online e-learning modules, short training videos, interactive 360-degree photos, and many other digital learning methods. You will have a big say in how we deliver learning content to our employees.
You will develop online training modules from start to finish using Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, and our LMS Totara. You will be involved in every step of the process, from analyzing the employees' learning needs to creating a fully functional online learning solution. Sometimes, you will even conduct a pilot program for your online learning solution at one of our European distribution centers. If images or videos are needed, you will create them. You will also update all work instructions and procedural documents that support the performance of our employees. You will also improve our existing training materials.
You will work closely with your e-learning specialist colleagues, supply chain colleagues such as Process Experts, our DC set-up team, HR L&D, and other stakeholders to ensure that training materials are up-to-date and best suited to our target audience.
This is you
You are results-oriented, have excellent communication and project management skills, and enjoy the combination of operations and long-term planning. You are energized by being proactive and helping people grow and learn. You enjoy working with others and sharing knowledge and experience.
And furthermore:
- A bachelor degree with a minimum of 3 year of relevant experience
- Background in learning and development and/or online learning
- Experienced in, or willing to learn, Articulate 360 and Totara
- Ability to travel occasionally to our European distribution centers
- Good command of Dutch and English
What we offer
Surprisingly much! From our vibrant home base in the Netherlands, you’ll have an impact across all of Europe. We already have more than 3,000 stores in 13 countries and millions of customer smiles. And we have big growth ambitions—both for Action and for you. Because our growth means you can keep taking new steps. A different role, an exciting innovation project, new skills: as a professional you can develop without limits. And all of this in a culture where our shared values are truly lived: customer focus, teamwork, simplicity, discipline, cost-consciousness, and respect.
Did you know that you can also count on:
- A market-competitive salary based on a 38-hour workweek
- 24 vacation days with the option to purchase 5 extra days (based on 38 hours per week)
- A temporary contract with the intention of offering you a permanent contract in the future
- Flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home up to 40%, of course in consultation with your team and manager
- 15% staff discount on your purchases at Action
- A good pension plan, collective health insurance, and travel allowance (Zwaagdijk-Oost is traffic-jam-free and only 30 minutes by car from Amsterdam + Action offers a shuttle bus service from Hoorn station)
How we contribute to society
If you only know Action from our stores, a whole world will open up for you when you join us. Behind the scenes, we’re working hard to make a positive impact on society and the environment. Did you know, for example, that we sponsor more than 2,000 children worldwide who grow up in SOS Children’s Villages? That our team reflects the diversity of our customers, with 124 nationalities represented? That we already source 70% of our wood products and 86% of our cotton sustainably? And that more than half of our stores are lit exclusively with energy-efficient LED lighting? Yes, that too is Action. Curious about what other initiatives we support? Join our team and discover for yourself.
