About the Role

The main objective of the Transport Dispatcher is to oversee the organization of daily transport operations for store deliveries from the Distribution Center (DC). This includes ensuring that delivery schedules are met and that transport partners have the necessary resources to execute the transport plan.

Key Responsibilites

• Monitor transport operations and ensure they run on time; take corrective action in case of process disruptions (e.g., warehouse delays, late truck arrivals, or other delivery-related issues).
• Communicate dock scheduling plans to warehouse colleagues.
• Coordinate pre-loading activities and yard management (truck and trailer parking).
• Provide transport documentation and instructions to drivers.
• Ensure transport partners comply with on-site safety regulations.
• Act as a backup for the Transport Team Lead during their absence.
• Maintain operational and performance data (e.g., arrival/departure times) required for transport partner invoicing and/or performance reporting.
• Participate in weekly meetings with transport partners or provide input for such meetings.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in an accounting assistant, sales administration, or transport administration role.
• English language skills are desirable.
• Previous experience in transport planning would be an advantage.

• Punctual and disciplined.
• Cost-conscious and aware of work-related costs (e.g., minimizing waiting times and process disruptions).
• Pragmatic problem-solver, capable of addressing issues such as no-shows, late arrivals, and warehouse delays, while effectively prioritizing tasks and issues.
• Able to work efficiently with transport partners and warehouse employees to achieve common objectives
