Do you have deep expertise in display and video advertising and are you ready to take full ownership of large-scale, high-budget campaigns across multiple European markets? At Action, we are looking for a senior media professional who can run our campaigns in-house and help shape the future of our paid media capabilities across Europe.

As a Display & Video Marketing Specialist, you are the internal expert on all things display and video. You bring a thorough technical understanding of the full advertising ecosystem and have the experience to manage complex, high-budget campaigns independently. You work closely with our external agency, challenge their strategy where needed, and ensure everything is fully aligned with Action's goals, while steadily building the in-house capabilities to run more of this work yourself.

 

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

 

  • Taking full ownership of display and video campaign execution, from strategy and setup to ongoing optimisation and reporting.
  • Managing and monitoring large campaign budgets across multiple markets, ensuring correct pacing and spend efficiency at all times.
  • Applying deep technical knowledge of the display and video landscape to improve campaign quality, targeting, and performance.
  • Aligning the agency's purchasing strategy with Action's overarching marketing and communication goals, and holding partners accountable for results.
  • Managing and coordinating campaigns across international markets, understanding the local nuances that influence performance across countries.
  • Acting as the internal authority on display and video, translating technical insights into clear strategic recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Driving the in-housing of media buying activities, gradually taking on a more hands-on role and building internal processes, tooling, and knowledge.

 

In this role, you will report to the Media Lead and collaborate closely with colleagues across Marketing, Digital, and Commerce. Given the strategic importance of in-housing, there is a realistic opportunity to grow into a senior or facilitator role as these capabilities expand.

This is you


You are a technically strong, hands-on media professional who is equally at home in the operational detail and the strategic conversation. You have run complex, high-budget campaigns and you know how to navigate multi-market environments. You take ownership, communicate clearly, and have the ambition to help build something lasting in-house.

 

In addition:

 

  • A bachelor's degree combined with 4+ years of experience in display and/or video media buying, with a proven track record managing large budgets and high-complexity campaigns.
  • Deep technical knowledge of the display and video advertising ecosystem, including platforms such as DV360, Google Ads, The Trade Desk, or comparable DSPs.
  • Experience managing campaigns across multiple international markets, with an understanding of how to adapt strategy to local market differences.
  • A strategic mindset: you understand how paid media fits into the broader marketing mix and can translate business goals into effective media strategy.
  • Experience managing and challenging external agency partners, ensuring they deliver maximum value.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and measurement frameworks.
  • Excellent command of the English language; Dutch is a plus.
  • Experience with agile working (scrum) is a plus.
