In this role, you are crucial in translating and executing the group HR strategy within the Netherlands.

These are your daily actions
The Country HR Manager is part of the management team and is responsible for the proper, effective, and efficient execution of all HR-related matters within the country.
You translate group HR policies and tools into local execution in close collaboration with local management.
The HR Manager leads an HR team of 10 people, consisting of a Legal Counsel, Prevention Advisors, and HR Advisors.
Policy
- Develops and implements the HR strategy. Anticipates complex issues, challenges, and opportunities, ensuring alignment with the broader group HR strategy.
- Develops a policy framework for the country and oversees its implementation.
- Participates in the monthly international HR meeting and works closely with all CHRMs on the further development and alignment of HR policies.
- Monitors progress on key HR KPIs, ensures that Action’s values are actively lived in our stores and offices, and plays a key role in strengthening and safeguarding effective leadership at all organizational levels.
Human Resources
Leads the development of HR frameworks and tools for the country:
- Social legal relations: responsible for developing the long-term approach and managing its execution
- Talent pipeline management, succession planning, career paths, and the most effective implementation of training and learning within the country.
- Recruitment and employer branding: end-responsible for recruitment (stores and head office) and for developing new pathways (apprenticeships, students, etc.).
- Health & Safety and social responsibility.
- Responsible for coordination with group payroll services.
- Management of HR KPIs.
Operational Management
- Initiates, plans, implements, and coordinates HR-related activities and projects for the country, ensuring proper introduction and implementation of changes within the organization.
- Ensures that the HR department supports the business in all HR-related matters and acts as the primary point of contact for senior management on HR policy issues and strategic and tactical questions.
- Coordinates and executes recruitment activities to fill current and future vacancies.
- Develops, implements, and executes local absenteeism policies to achieve a low sickness absence rate.
This is you
You are an experienced HR professional with excellent leadership skills.
You thrive in a fast-changing, dynamic environment and have a proven track record of successfully managing HR teams.
You are proactive, organized, and results-driven, with a passion for developing people and creating a positive working environment.
Additionally, you have:
- A master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 8 years of work experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in an international matrix organization
- Proven project management skills
- Extensive knowledge of HR tools and current HR trends and practices
- Excellent command of the English language
- Experience in labor relations
