Action is a market leader in the retail discounter segment and has operations in 13 countries including the Benelux. Action started its operations in the Benelux in 2005, has over 3000 active stores. We are currently looking for a Country HR Manager for Benelux (Office is in Asse), to join forces with the existing team, facilitating the growth roadmap while bringing the team to the next chapter of development and success.

Can you coordinate and align at management and board level on how to structure and implement best HR strategies and policies and manage the daily operations? This is your daily action


The Country HR Manager is part of the local HR department and reports directly to the General Manager Country. The focus lies on contributing to the Group HR strategy and policies and ensuring that the HR strategy is correctly executed within the country. The HR Manager country leads the country HR team with HR advisors. As a Country HR Manager you join a very dynamic and ambitious team and make sure that all activities are being taken care of according to plan and in alignment with the International Head office. In this role you are responsible for a good, effective, and efficient execution of all HR related matters within the country, translating Group HR policies and instruments into local execution. 

 

We are looking for someone who can provide excellence in these principal areas: 

 

  • HR Policies and Strategy following given guidelines but adjusting them to country specific legislation and market/cultural requirements
  • HR Operations management: Recruitment, learning, systems and tools, administration, etc. 
  • People management: Creates a work environment in which employees are continuously stimulated to develop themselves and to improve their performance 

 

This is you

 

  • University degree or level in Human Resources Management in combination with at least 8 years of relevant working experience in an international environment, including a minimum of 4 years of experience in a management position as HR Director or Country HR Manager
  • Proven project management skills 
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal/written) 
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR instruments 
  • Extensive knowledge of current trends and practices within HR 
  • Pro-active, customer focused, analytical skills and result driven 
  • You live in the area between Brno and Praque
