Become part of our buying team as a Buying Assistant for our Laundry & Cleaning category and play a key role in ensuring our products reach millions of customers across Europe. From managing data and coordinating processes to supporting product decisions, your work keeps everything running smoothly.

These are your daily actions

Our buyers are responsible for finding the best Laundry & Cleaning products for our stores, but as a Buying Assistant in the Laundry & Cleaning category, you’ll make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. 

Your influence ranges from supporting buyers on major purchasing decisions to having your own input on product specifications. You’ll help coordinate the purchasing process from A to Z, but you’ll also be the one deciding whether that new laundry detergent should come in a fresh cotton or citrus fragrance, suggesting the ideal sheet count for toilet paper, or suggesting which everyday cleaning products deserve a place in our stores.

You’ll analyse trends in Laundry & Cleaning, negotiate product specifications directly with suppliers, coordinate with Supply Chain for optimal delivery schedules, and work closely with Marketing and Promotion to ensure your selected items get the attention they deserve. This role combines precision with commercial involvement, giving you insight into how buying decisions are made.

As part of the Laundry & Cleaning team, you’ll help introduce more than 150 new products every week across all categories. Specifically within Laundry & Cleaning, you’ll have direct influence on an assortment of hundreds of items — from laundry detergent, fabric softeners and stain removers to toilet paper and garbage bags.

Together with your team, you’ll ensure our Laundry & Cleaning range remains sustainable, surprising, affordable, and balanced. Entrepreneurship and customer focus are central to everything we do, and in this role, your organizational skills and commercial instincts will both make an impact.

This is you

You love organizing and ensuring everything runs smoothly, but you’re also excited to support decisions that influence what customers discover in our stores. You thrive in a dynamic environment where you can quickly switch between administrative tasks and assisting with product choices. 

We also require:

• Completed HBO degree in a commercial field
• Experience in a commercial environment (retail, purchasing, or product development preferred)
• Knowledge of systems, such as Excel
• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
• A keen eye for trends and consumer needs
