(Full-time, 38 hours – Zwaagdijk-Oost)
Do you want to contribute to the enormous growth of Action and further develop yourself as a controller? Then this is your chance! As a Business Insight Controller, you work in an international environment where new stores open every day and where your analyses have a direct impact. From our headquarters in Zwaagdijk-Oost, one of your focus areas is supporting Action’s expansion. Through financial insights, you help our Real Estate team steer even better on results.
What will you do?
- Prepare and improve management reports and dashboards
- Perform financial analyses, for example related to our real estate projects
- Guide the budgeting and forecasting cycle and period closings
- Work closely with Finance Business Partners and Controllers
- Contribute ideas to further professionalize processes and reporting within Business Control, especially in the area of Real Estate but also beyond
- A typical workday
- You start the day analyzing new data about ongoing real estate projects. Then you brainstorm with a colleague about the financial impact of maintenance on existing store locations. In the afternoon, you work with other Business Insight Controllers in Power BI and SAP Analytical Cloud on reports that give management sharp insights. No day is the same – Action’s rapid growth continually brings new challenges and opportunities.

Who are you?
You are an analytical talent who gets energy from our rapid expansion and improving financial processes. You are cost-conscious and able to convey this to others. You effortlessly switch between data, dashboards, and conversations with colleagues and enjoy providing insights that really make a difference.
You also bring:
- A completed university degree in finance, economics, or business analytics
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a similar controlling role
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI and SAP Analytical Cloud / SAP Business Objects, Analyses for Office / HFM
- Knowledge of financial administration and experience with period closings
- Affinity with Real Estate processes within retail and interest in building knowledge within other group business control processes
- Excellent command of Dutch and English

You will join the Business Insight Control team within Group Business Control at our international headquarters in Zwaagdijk-Oost. Together with colleagues from disciplines like Technology, Procurement, Marketing, Central Store Operations, and Overhead & HR, you support the business with analyses and advice.
