Area Manager Nord-Est
The Area Manager is part of the business unit Store Operations and reports directly to the General Manager. The Area Manager works closely with the Regional- and Store managers in order to ensure that the standards that are set by the organization are correctly executed.
Ensuring that all store activities, in the designated areas, are carried out in the most efficient and effective way possible, in alignment with the Action strategy. The Area Manager leads a team of Regional managers and coaches them in order to reach the set sales targets and in the execution of all Action policies.
Areas of responsibility
Strategy/Policy
- Contributes to the sales policy (e.g. by keeping a close eye on the market and participating in a diversity of projects) and operational year plan in order to give direction to the organization
- Improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes within the stores by coaching the Regional managers and ensures optimal integration with the processes outside the sales organization
Operational Management
- Ensures a consistent shop image and -experience at all times by means of an attractive presentation of products in all shops
- Ensures proper communication towards all stores in alignment with the desired culture and mentality of Action
- Ensures a correct administration by the store managers and, if necessary, guides the settlement of questions, problems and/or complaints from customers and/or shops
- Ensures that the out of stock policy is followed correctly by all stores
People Management
- Gives direct and constructive feedback about the delivered performance and personal developments related to future requirements and priorities
- Stimulates employees to join in on the thought process and to actively contribute to the development of new ideas and to learn from his/her own experiences and those of others
- Creates a work environment in which employees are continuously stimulated to develop themselves and to improve their performance
- Acts as a mentor or coach with the objective to develop the skills and competences of the employee
- Responsible for an optimal staffing, recruitment activities and retaining of employees within the department
- Cooperate with Senior HR Advisor to ensure the correct application of policy and guidelines
Result driven
- Monitors the financial and operational results of all stores in the designated areas (e.g. salaries, profit, productivity and hours) and takes action when needed
- Maximizes the profit against the lowest possible operational costs (hours/wages) and reach the desired customer satisfaction level
- Responsible for all KPI’s regarding the stores in designated areas
Requirements - Hard skills
- Level of working and thinking should be in line with a Bachelor’s degree
- Relevant experience with guiding, motivating and coaching large teams in similar position and industry
- Experience with planning of personnel, profit realisation and store management
- Fluent in local language and English. Knowledge of another European language is a plus

- Is very organised, is able to structure activities and projects, sticks to agreements within deadlines and according to guidelines
