Application Analyst IT Store Applications
Application Analyst IT Store Applications
A job full of technical challenge and international impact? You bet!
Do you want to make an important contribution to managing, developing and improving the applications used in Action stores? Do you want to optimise and stabilise the processes in the various applications used in stores? Are you at home in the world of changes, releases and roadmaps?
As an Application Analyst, you understand more than just the technical and functional aspects of the store applications; you also know how they fit into Action's business processes, because you are the link between Technology and the key users of Store Operations, Real Estate and Fraud. In addition, you have a broad view of the system landscape, from the local systems in the store (such as cash registers, payment terminals, self-checkouts and CCTV) to the solutions used by the Real Estate and Fraud departments for the stores. You will gain knowledge about the impact of connecting systems.
Your daily actions
Within the Business Technology team Store Applications, Real Estate & Fraud, we focus on everything related to the operational side of Action's store, real estate and fraud platforms.
The Application Analyst manages and coordinates work between key users and IT suppliers to help and support users. You follow the applicable procedures around incidents, problems, changes and releases. You will also actively contribute to optimising processes wherever possible.
Your daily tasks include:
- Functional and technical support: escalating problems and resolving incidents
- Coordination of changes and releases at a high pace
- Testing delivered changes and releases and documenting test results
- Understanding the impact on the business
- Continuously looking for optimisations within the applications
- Daily communication with suppliers and internal clients
Your team
Action provides a dynamic working environment and consists of committed, cost-conscious, customer-focused and culturally diverse people. We love working as a team and live our company values with simplicity in everything we do. Our Technology department adds value with its centralised teams for Enterprise Architecture, IT Project & Portfolio Management, Development & Operations and various Business Technology (BizTech) teams.
Within the Business Technology team Store Applications, Real Estate & Fraud, we implement the initiatives on the Technology roadmap and support our business goals with technology. As part of a team consisting of Technical Specialists, Application Analysts, Solution Architects and Service Delivery Managers, you are involved in many initiatives. Projects that are all challenging. Think, for example, of the rollout of 6,000 handheld terminals to all stores, lifecycle management programmes for in-store hardware, changes to network technology and the transition to new cash register software for all our stores.
As an Application Analyst Stores, you are involved in these initiatives and consult with your colleagues, suppliers, the solution architect and the Service Delivery Manager on how to guarantee an optimal solution for our users.
You report to the IT Manager BizTech Stores, Real Estate and Fraud and work at the international head office in Zwaagdijk.
