Accounts Payable Administrator - Commercial Goods
Accounts Payable Administrator – Commercial Goods
32 – 38 hours
Do you have affinity with financial administration and would you like to develop your knowledge of accounts payable further within an international organisation? And do you enjoy working in a friendly, international finance team with fantastic colleagues? Then read on, because we are looking for you!
These are your daily actions
As a financial administration officer, you will be part of the Accounts Payable Commercial Goods team within Financial Services.
Together with the team, you are responsible for processing and paying all goods invoices. These mainly concern deliveries of goods from suppliers to one of our distribution centres in Europe.
Action is currently active in 15 different countries with more than 3.500 stores and has distribution centres in several countries. On average, 1,200 invoices are processed each day — and taking local laws and regulations into account makes that quite a challenge!
On a daily basis, you work on processing the administration in the SAP system. You maintain supplier master data, process invoices, follow up on invoice discrepancies and maintain contact with the Supply Chain and Buying departments as well as with our suppliers. Green light? Then you make sure the payments are submitted.
Action is growing fast, and that has an impact on our processes. They evolve along with us, which means there is plenty of room to contribute your ideas for improvement. Will you help us set up the invoice flow as efficiently as possible? Or perhaps contribute to closing our financial periods, explaining open items on balance sheet accounts?
Our goal is to pay our suppliers on time — will you help us take on this challenge and work together towards the highest possible percentage?
Working within Action Financial Services means that every day is different. Good ideas? They are always welcome!
This will be your team
Financial Services handles the complete administration of our international organisation. Our Treasury team manages all cash flows and our Tax team deals with all tax matters.
Within Business Controlling we support the business with financial advice, covering our store operations, commercial control, supply chain and financial control. Would you like to work within the dynamics of the retail sector, in a young department with plenty of (international) growth opportunities? Take Action!
This is you
You are a real team player and you enjoy a dynamic environment. During busy periods you keep an overview and stay calm. You see contributing to the further professionalisation of our financial administration as a challenge. You are also accurate and have an eye for detail.
In addition:
- You have completed an MBO level 4 education, preferably in a financial or economic field, with 2 years of work experience
- Or a completed HBO degree in a relevant field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SAP VIM/Ariba is a plus
- You have a good command of English and preferably also a good command of Dutch, both spoken and written
What we offer
Surprisingly much! From our international head office in the Netherlands, you have an impact on what happens in our stores across all European countries. Every week we welcome more than 15 million customers in over 3,000 stores in 15 European countries. We have big growth ambitions — for Action and for you. Because our growth means you can keep taking new steps. A different role, an interesting innovation project, new skills: you can continue to develop as a professional. And all of that in a culture built around our values: customer focus, teamwork, simplicity, discipline, cost awareness and respect.
Did you know that with us you can also count on:
